Caltech’s Amgen Scholars Program is geared towards students in biology, chemistry, and biotechnology fields. Some of these fields include biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemical and biomolecular engineering, and chemistry. Support: Amgen Scholars will receive a $6000 award, round-trip air transportation, campus housing, and a food allowance. Online applications are due February 15, 2017. The REU program is an intensive ten-week program of laboratory research and instruction. In the program, each REU student receives hands-on laboratory research experience under guidance from Hopkins faculty and graduate student mentors. Participants will also receive classes on ethics in research and technical communication. The students will have the opportunity to go on local visits to labs. Participants will be provided housing and a stipend for the 10-week period will

The Valparaiso Experience in Research by Undergraduate Mathematicians (VERUM) program seeks exceptional rising sophomore and junior students looking for a research experience in mathematical sciences. It’s the perfect opportunity to determine whether graduate studies in the mathematical sciences should be part of your future plans. Support: Each participant will be provided with dormitory accommodation on campus and a $4,500 stipend. Partial travel reimbursements are also available.
