Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Site  – Integrating Research in Sustainable Energy and the Environment across Disciplines (IR-SEED)

Texas A&M University Kingsville has been awarded an NSF grant to create a Research Experience for undergraduates site with focus on interdisciplinary energy research.  We are trying to recruit qualified students from STEM fields who intend to go to graduate school.

Program Description:  An NSF funded Research Experience Site that is focused on interdisciplinary research experiences in Energy.

Highlights:

• Ten-week summer undergraduate research program

• $5,000 stipends and up to $1,000 travel allowance

o On-campus housing and meal allowance provided

o Multidisciplinary Research Teams with Research, Educational, and Career Mentorship provided

Weekly seminars about various research disciplines, technical writing, presentation skills, graduate school preparation, etc.
