Columbia Engineering – EngAGE Program

Columbia Engineering is currently seeking the brightest and most motivated undergraduate students from underrepresented groups who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in engineering or applied science disciplines to apply for their 2019 EngAGE Program. EngAGE is an all-expense-paid program which includes flights, hotel, meals, transportation, social events, and more.

They created the EngAGE program to provide the opportunity to meet faculty, current Ph.D. students, and admissions officers – attend lab tours and panels – as well as explore New York City!

The EngAGE application deadline for students who have been nominated has been extended to Friday, January 4, 2019. To apply, students must submit the following:

  • Completed EngAGE Application
  • Personal Statement (250-500 words)
  • Transcript (Upload to application or submit electronically)
  • 1 Recommendation Letter (faculty, mentor, supervisor, adviser, etc.)

*Applicants can submit their transcript by uploading it to their application or requesting an electronic copy from their institution. Recommendations must be sent directly from the recommender to bmm2169@columbia.edu, and electronic transcripts must be sent directly from the student’s institution to bmm2169@columbia.edu.

Application Deadline Extended: Friday, January 4th, 2019.
